RUV: Niceair jet landed in Akureyri

There was much excitement over Akureyri today as Niceair’s Airbus 319 arrived from Portugal. Many people gathered for the occasion at Akureyri Airport, where the new airline Niceair started its operations.

Flights to start this week

Tickets for Niceair’s first flight to Copenhagen coming Thursday are already sold out. The airline will fly to London on Friday and Wednesday and next week to Tenerife. To begin with, the airline will fly twice a week to Copenhagen and London and once a week to Tenerife. Flights to Manchester, England, will start in the fall. Niceair has hired four pilots and ten passenger crew employees.
