“Navalny will be remembered for his relentless fight against abuse of power,” Jonas Gahr Støre says. On Wednesday evening the Prime Minister lighted a candle in memory of the Russian opposition leader in the center of Kirkenes, the Norwegian town known for its proximity to Russia’s Kola Peninsula.

In a tweet on X, Jonas Gahr Støre says it is tragic that Navalny has passed away. The Norwegian Prime Minister underlines it is the Russian authorities that are responsible for his death.

Tragisk at Navalnyj har gått bort.
