Outside company to buy Alaska’s largest telecom carrier

General Communication Inc., Alaska’s largest telecommunications company, will be acquired by Liberty Ventures Group, a subsidiary of Colorado-based media conglomerate Liberty Interactive Corp., the company announced Tuesday.
