Two new circular economy offerings have now been completed: Sustainable Car Solutions from Finland and Innovative and Sustainable Packaging Solutions from Finland. With these, we take Finnish circular economy know-how to the world.
Sustainable Car Solutions from Finland material presents the Finnish know-how in sustainable solutions for the car industry and gives an overview of the automotive-related industry in Finland.
“The automotive industry is becoming more environmentally friendly. Electric cars are already here. Next, the automotive industry will focus on the environmental friendliness of cars holistically. Bio-based materials can be used in car manufacturing – new cars will contain even more recycled and sustainable materials and solutions. These are just examples of how the automotive industry and cars will develop over the next few years. This is a great opportunity for both the automotive industry and the company that supplies the automotive industry with new solutions”, says Risto Huhta-Koivisto, Senior Advisore, Business Finland.

Similarly, the Innovative and Sustainable Packaging Solutions from Finland offer presents Finnish know-how in sustainable packaging solutions and gives a picture of the Finnish packaging industry.
“We have collected packaging solutions from Finland, which are mainly based on sustainably produced wood biomass and pulp as well as other fibers and recyclable materials. These are precisely the strongholds of Finnish expertise, as the competitive edge of Finnish companies is based on their globally leading position in the sustainable forest industry. The growing demand for sustainable solutions from consumers and regulators demonstrates the importance of Finnish solutions at a global level”, says Heidi Kokki, Senior Advisor, Business Finland.

Both of these materials will be used internationally by Business Finland’s global network, Team Finland, and Finnish Embassies all around the world.
The materials were prepared by Bio and Circular Finland program which ended in the end of 2022.
