Canadian telecom watchdog sets ambitious targets for remote broadband internet
Just as Nunatsiaq News closed down for the seasonal holiday late last month, Canada’s telecommunications watchdog, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, declared Dec. 21 that no matter where they live, all Canadians must get access to fast high speed broadband internet speeds: 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
