Ásta Sóllilija, managing director Klak – Icelandic Startups

Ásta Sóllilja Guðmundsdóttir has been appointed Managing Director Klak – Icelandic Startups, succeeding Kristín Soffía Jónsdóttir, who currently works for Leitar Capital Partners.

Ásta holds an MBA from Reykjavik University, a diploma in management from Harvard University, as well as a master’s degree in health sciences and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Iceland. She previously worked as a business development manager at Auðna Technology Forum and has extensive experience in business development and innovation, including through board positions in various start-ups. Ásta was previously the CFO of Volta ehf and also worked in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector, among other things, for Actavis and Icelandic genetic analysis and worked on business development in the tourism sector.
