🇮🇸 Startup SuperNova 2025 – 10 teams take part
KLAK – Icelandic Startups, in collaboration with Nova and Huawei, has announced the ten ambitious innovation teams selected to participate in Startup SuperNova 2025 — one of the country’s largest and most impactful startup accelerators.
This year’s selected teams reflect the diversity and creativity of Iceland’s startup community. Their solutions address real-world challenges in areas such as health tech, finance, security management, artificial intelligence, and tourism — offering genuine opportunities for international growth.
Through participation in the accelerator, the teams gain access to tailored skill development, expert mentorship, and a strong network both domestically and internationally. The Startup SuperNova accelerator is designed to prepare teams for rapid growth and international expansion, and has proven to be a key milestone in the journey of many Icelandic innovation companies.

Alda Öryggi
Alda is a digital safety management system and app for fishing vessels that promotes modern crew safety. Developed in collaboration with Icelandic fishermen and fishing companies, the solution strengthens safety awareness, regular training, and monitoring. Alda ensures compliance with international safety regulations and streamlines safety management at sea, enhancing the safety of crews and the working environment.
Anime GenSys
Anime GenSys develops a software solution that supports production processes in the Japanese animation industry. With a sustainable and customized artificial intelligence solution, it can multiply artists’ productivity, shorten turnaround times, and meet growing demand without compromising quality or creativity.
Atlas
Atlas supports Iceland’s technological independence with a simple, domestic cloud solution. The company offers key services for software companies that want to operate their solutions securely and efficiently, without unnecessary complexity.
Bella Books
Bella Bókar is an intelligent AI system that automates up to 80% of repetitive accounting tasks without requiring companies to change their accounting software. The solution integrates with existing systems through a secure API connection, handling transactions, reconciliations, and data classification. With Bella Bókar, managers gain better oversight, finance teams can focus more on analysis and strategic planning, and the company saves both time and costs.
coreDMC
coreDMC offers a software solution that simplifies the planning, sales, and execution of customized luxury trips. By leveraging artificial intelligence, it increases efficiency, reduces errors, and ensures seamless delivery of trips — all in one platform. The solution is designed by DMC providers for DMCs and travel service companies specializing in incentive travel and trips for demanding clients.

MyRise
MyRise is an emotion-aware, AI-driven fitness app that customizes daily workouts based on each user’s goals and lifestyle. The app automatically tracks progress, offers personalized motivation, and connects users to a vibrant community that supports every step toward a healthier lifestyle.
OptiDesign
OptiDesign is an AI-driven design solution that helps architects and engineers make smarter, greener, and faster decisions by evaluating thousands of design options based on cost, carbon footprint, and energy use. The solution integrates directly with BIM workflows and combines sustainable design, lifecycle analysis, and financial insights into one user-friendly system.
VitalSync
VitalSync develops technology to enhance safety and support independent living for seniors. The device monitors the user’s behavior and movement and can send alerts and enable phone contact if an incident occurs, such as a fall or unusual pattern change. The solution reduces the need for direct supervision and provides caregivers and service providers with vital real-time information.
Startup SuperNova
Startup SuperNova is a collaborative project between KLAK – Icelandic Startups, Nova, and Huawei, aiming to develop business solutions targeted at international markets. The accelerator begins on August 5th and concludes with Investor Day on September 19th.
