🇬🇱 Nalik Ventures enters into partnership with Canadian organization
It is crucial that Greenland and Greenlandic businesses increasingly enter into agreements with international partners to continuously ensure development and progress.
The Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency, or CanNor, has successfully fostered development and solutions benefiting Inuit and Northerners in Canada for over 15 years. Now, Greenland will also benefit from their experience and expertise, as Nalik Ventures has entered into a partnership agreement with CanNor.
“This partnership between CanNor and Nalik Ventures is the first step toward what we hope will be a fruitful collaboration between Indigenous organizations and businesses across Canada and Greenland. Personally, I believe we have a lot to learn from each other, and I am confident that this cooperation will be beneficial for both organizations,” says Thomas “Tyt” Mogensen, CEO of Nalik Ventures, and continues:
“CanNor’s extensive experience in fostering development for our fellow Indigenous Peoples in Canada could prove extremely valuable for us here at home. At Nalik Ventures, we look forward to achieving results together with CanNor in the future.”
For example, CanNor has successfully adopted innovative approaches to tourism, particularly in terms of local development and experience opportunities.
“Northerners are part of a broader community, with leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship that extend beyond borders,” said Jimi Onalik, President of CanNor.
”As CanNor’s President, I am pleased to partner with Nalik Ventures, recognizing the value of fostering closer collaboration between Canadian and Greenlandic clients. This partnership supports our shared commitment to economic development and diversification in the North.”
“Collaboration and the exchange of knowledge within tourism is just one example of how we can benefit from each other. I believe we can develop a truly strong partnership in many areas, and at Nalik Ventures, we look forward to being an active part of this process,” concludes Thomas “Tyt” Mogensen.
”After 15 years of working to support a sustainable, diversified and innovative economy in partnership with businesses, organizations and other levels of government in Nunavut, Northwest Territories and the Yukon, CanNor is well-positioned to collaborate with Nalik Ventures to drive greater prosperity and investment between our regions,” concluded Onalik.
