đ«đź SuperGround completes âŹ3.65 million funding round led by Hatch Blue Revolution Fund
The extension shows strong investor confidence at a time when raising capital for FoodTech has become tougher and more focused on proven performance. SuperGroundâs patented processing technology enables food producers to lower costs and increase protein content by turning undervalued fish and poultry side streams into tasty, profitable products such as burgers, nuggets, and patties.
In parallel, SuperGround is launching its partnership with Swedenâs Ocean Next AB to commercialize several new seafood products across the Nordics. Ocean Next will drive commercialization with production in Falkenberg, leveraging Korshags Food ABâs expertise in premium blue food.
âInvestors are looking for cost-competitive, scalable food innovations, and thatâs exactly what we deliver,â said Jaakko Kaminen, CEO of SuperGround. âWith Hatch Blue, CHECK24 Impact and Propeller Ventures leading this round, we are in a strong position to accelerate growth across the Nordics and beyond, starting with our new partnership with Ocean Next.â
âPartnering with Superground, weâre turning undervalued fish parts into sustainable, tasty products,â said Jörgen Bergqvist, Group CEO of Ocean Collective and Executive Chairman of Korshags Food AB and Ocean Next AB. âWith Ocean Next leading commercialization across the Nordics and Korshags driving production rooted in quality and sustainability, we aim to launch new products and change how consumers perceive blue foodâwithout compromising taste or ocean health.â
