Stockholm, Sweden – April 28, 2026 – Redpine, a Stockholm-based AI startup, has raised $8 million in a Seed funding round to accelerate global expansion and further develop its platform, which gives AI agents access to premium, non-public data. The round was led by NordicNinja, with participation from Luminar Ventures and node.vc, alongside strategic angels including Peter Sarlin (co-founder of SiloAI), Patrik Tran (co-founder of Validio), Anna Nordell Westling (co-founder of Sana), and leaders from OpenAI, Perplexity, and Spotify:refs[4-280,281,282].

Redpine is building the infrastructure to enable the token-based agent economy to grow sustainably for all stakeholders. The company’s platform allows content owners, publishers, and data providers to offer controlled access to their data, while AI developers and agents can discover, evaluate, and pay for that data through a unified API layer:refs[6-280,282].

“Redpine is building the infrastructure to enable the token-based agent economy to grow sustainably for all stakeholders,” said Anders Hammarbäck, CEO and co-founder of Redpine. “We are thrilled to announce Redpine’s $8 million seed round to accelerate our mission of becoming the global category leader for premium AI data.”

The funding will be used to scale Redpine’s network of proprietary data partnerships, advance its core platform (including its retrieval and reranking technology led by founding data scientist Dr. Leonora Vesterbacka), and expand its team globally:refs[8-280,282,284].

Founded in 2024 by Anders Hammarbäck and David Österdahl, Redpine aims to fix the AI information gap by unlocking access to high-quality, non-public datasets for AI applications. The company is already working with global partners, including Chegg and AsedaSciences, to expand access to high-value data while ensuring fair compensation for content creators:refs[10-280,281].
