🇳🇴 KSAT signs launch contract for Hyper

10 December 2025

KSAT is set to bring their orbiting ground stations to space, a key step toward Hyper’s in-orbit network.

KSAT has signed a launch contract for its new “Hyper” system — a constellation of orbiting ground stations designed to drastically reduce latency and provide customers faster, more reliable access to satellite data. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}

Hyper satellites will operate in low Earth orbit (LEO) and enable rapid space-to-ground connectivity. By bridging remote satellites with KSAT’s global ground network, Hyper ensures data delivery even when passing over areas far from traditional ground stations. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}

KSAT says Hyper is aimed particularly at missions that require real-time or near-real-time data — such as Earth observation, surveillance, environmental monitoring, and other time-sensitive satellite services. :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4}

The Hyper offering will complement KSAT’s existing ground-station services (including KSATlite and KSATmax), giving small-sat and constellation operators a hybrid option of ground- and space-based connectivity. According to KSAT: connecting via Hyper is “plug-and-play” for customers already using KSATlite. :contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}

For more information or to book passes on Hyper once operational, contact KSAT’s Business Development team or visit the Hyper service page on KSAT’s website. :contentReference[oaicite:6]{index=6}
